Affordable Care Act
Individual / family health insurance products provide coverage for those who do not receive plans from their employer. There are a variety of options available depending upon your specific needs and situation.
Virginia's individual market has been extremely chaotic since the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in 2014. Different counties have different carriers available, and carriers tend to change each year during open enrollment (November 1st - December 15th).
Most of our individual clients have never had to shop for plans outside of that provided by their employer. We make the process easy by providing the following expertise:
Explaining deductibles, co-insurance, maximum out of pockets, and co-pays.
Checking your list of desired doctors and finding the carriers that will provide coverage for those doctors and facilities
Checking your medications to make sure which carriers covers them on their formulary
Determining subsidy eligibility and providing quotes in an easy to read and compare format
Handling the enrollment process (both through the Marketplace healthcare.gov and straight to carrier)
Providing first point of contact for plan servicing after enrollment
All of the above services are completely free and do not affect the price of your chosen plan at all. Contact us today for direct assistance with an expert that knows the Virginia market.
Updates for 2021
New, lower costs on Marketplace coverage:
Starting April 1, 2021 you may be able to get more savings and lower costs on Marketplace health insurance coverage due to the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Under the new law:
More people than ever before will qualify for help paying for health coverage, even those who weren’t eligible in the past.
Most people currently enrolled in a Marketplace plan may qualify for more tax credits.
